Available from Variohm EuroSensor, Wachendorff's WDGA series multi-turn absolute encoders have been widely used in precision measurement and motion control applications in a variety of industries for their high accuracy, robustness and long working life. With single-turn resolution of up to 16 bits and multi-turn capability of up to 43 bits, Sensor Experts' EnDra magneto-coding technology provides Angle measurement accuracy of +/-0.09 degrees, as well as ideal feedback cycle time of up to 50 microseconds for high-performance servo drives.

The hall effect scanning principle based on microprocessors provides a convincing and cost-effective alternative to more vulnerable linear and rotary optical encoders. Offering a full range of supported housing styles, shaft sizes, a wide selection of security and protection levels provides maximum application matching flexibility, complemented by a wide range of communication interface options, Includes CANopen, CAN SAE J1838, SSI and RS485, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT and General IP versions.

Series magnetic and non-contact Endra designs offer many significant performance advantages. Unlike competitive multi-turn absolute encoders, this technology does not require a gear box that is prone to wear, and provides very low current consumption through conventional 10-32VDC power supplies, without the need for batteries. These advantages contribute to a significant reduction in axial length dimensions, enabling extremely high axial and radial axial loads even when evaluating fully designed bearing arrangements - providing maximum compactness while maintaining superior durability for demanding heavy duty measuring tasks.

As standard, the housing and shafts are IP65 sealed with IP67 and IP68 options, while a choice of synchronous flanges, clamped flanges or blind hole hollow shaft mounts are available, with housing diameters of 36mm and 58mm. Available communication options include data output for position, speed and acceleration, encoder cams, scaling capabilities and full diagnostics -- all supported by debugging and interface software.

The WDGA series has a very long working life and requires little maintenance. The company's confidence in the reliability of its products extends to a five-year warranty. Applications include construction and agricultural machinery, wind energy, cranes and gourds, AGV, machine tools, food and beverage, packaging, etc.
