Display Visions EA DOGXL240-7 is the latest addition to the Display Visions EA DOG series. The graphics display has a resolution of 240 pixels x 128 pixels. It comes with a UC1611s controller, graphics RAM, and background lighting. Small displays (94 mm x 67 mm) are ideal for handheld applications, especially since current consumption is only 900µ (without lighting), the display can be battery powered. Three different LED backlighting options and four different display technologies (STN and FSTN) allow users to choose from up to eight possible designs. All are characterized by high brightness and contrast.
The following backlight options are available in white, green/red, and amber. The color of the backlight can be switched between red and green for a two-color display. All options are very bright for excellent readability and they have low power consumption. The EA DOGXL240-7 module will also operate with the EA TOUCH240-3, a 4-wire resistive touchscreen with a self-adhesive back that can be mounted directly to the monitor. Display Visions recommends using a backlit display when using a touchscreen to ensure good readability. EA DOGXL240-7 modules are designed with compact handheld devices in mind, but they are also used in instrumentation and diagnostic systems, machine building, construction machinery, automated electronics development, special purpose vehicles and medical equipment.
EA Dog series products are available in many different versions, from one or more in stock quantities. Availability is guaranteed for up to 10 years. A customized EA 9780-3USB evaluation kit can be provided to support application development for the display. Display Visions developed this toolkit to speed up commissioning and help users become familiar with EA DOG displays. Personal character set and font editor are available as an accessory on the USB stick. The Dog Monitor is also available in text (1×8 to 4×20 characters) and graphic versions (1.7 inches to 3.9 inches) in other sizes.
