ISM330IS and ISN330ISN iNEMO inertial modules from STMicroelectronics. These modules combine a three-axis digital accelerometer with a three-axis digital gyroscope and are integrated system-level packaging solutions. The always-on, low-power nature enables these inertial modules to deliver outstanding performance in industrial and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, including industrial robotics, asset tracking, condition monitoring, and complex motion detection.

The inertial module features an embedded Intelligent Sensor Processing Unit (ISPU), an ultra-low-power programmable core capable of performing signal processing and artificial intelligence algorithms at the edge. The inertial module has a full scale acceleration range of ±2g to ±16g and angular rate range of ±125dps to ±2000dps. The module's ISPU can use data from the internal accelerometer/gyroscope and data collected from up to four external sensors through its sensor hub function.

The ISM330IS inertial module can leverage an extensive library ecosystem, third-party tools, and integrated development environments (ides). ISM330ISN can be used in conjunction with NanoEdge.AI Studio to enable users to create machine learning libraries using the STMicroelectronics development tool. The ISM330IS and ISN330ISN iNEMO inertial modules come with the STEVAL-MKI233KA IS330IS Evaluation Kit. The evaluation kit includes a target board pre-installed with the IS330IS sensor and an adapter card that connects to the STEVAL-MKI109V3 MEMS development platform (not included). The STEVAL-MKI109V3 MEMS development platform utilizes a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller as a bridge between sensors and PCS, and enables the use of a downloadable graphical user interface (Unico-GUI) or specialized software programs for custom applications.
